All ingredients are beautifying, you can make it in minutes and it’s delicious. What more could you want?

Some reasons to love pumpkin?

  • High carotenoid content (due to their bright orange color- helps prevent premature aging)
  • Vegetarian protein (1 oz = 7 grams)
  • Essential fatty acids (helps protect against high blood pressure and arthritis)
  • Vitamin A (helps attain healthy eyes and boosts the immune system)
  • Vitamin C (fights free radicals, boosts the immune system and promotes collagen elastin)
  • Magnesium (helps promote healthy bones and teeth)
  • Zinc (this, with the other fabulous vitamins found in pumpkin allow for beautiful skin & helps avoid weak bones)
  • Potassium (helps prevent cardiovascular disease and dehydration)

The Perfect 3-Minute Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbs of almond meal 
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1 free-range egg
  • 1/2 cup of organic pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice (found HERE)
  • 1 Tbsp of raw honey or maple syrup 
  • 1 tsp of all natural vanilla extract
  •  a dash or two of high quality sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp of aluminum-free baking powder
  • Add some good quality dark chocolate chips if you want!

Method:

  1. Mix everything together well and place in a  microwave safe mug or dish.
  2. Microwave for 2-3 minutes (this will depend on your microwave)

It’s Time To Break Free From The Dieting & The Diet Mentality…

Hi beauty! If you follow me on Instagram you have probably “heard” me talking about this recently…

 
I used to suffer from the diet cycle, the diet mentality (which we are going into today) and it took me a long time to realize that these things are not only unhealthy (mentally & physically), but they don’t work.

There have been so many scientific studios proving that those who choose to go on diets end up regaining any weight they lose plus more (83% in fact). At the heart of this effect is a premise which on the surface may seem harmless (and effective), but underneath it is a vicious yo-yo cycle that bounces between strict deprivation and a free-for-all with food. If someone is trying to lose weight by shaming and depriving themselves, weight loss will not only NOT necessarily occur at all, but they’ll end up shamed, deprived and left with a broken relationship with food and themselves. If someone has gone on a diet, lost weight and kept it off than a much bigger shift has happened within them to foster that sustained change.

Now, let’s explore whether you have the “diet mentality”…

  1. Do you avoid eating all day so you can binge at dinner?
  2. Do you weigh yourself several times a day and let that number determine your mood or whether it’s a “good” or “bad” day?
  3. Do you know the calorie count of almost every food and think about it before eating?
  4. Do you drink coffee as a substitute for food?
  5. Do you allow yourself to get so hungry that you eventually scarf down whatever is available?
  6. Do you say, “I’ll eat this now, but I’ll start on a diet on Monday”?
  7. Do you base your self-worth on whether or not you “ate good or bad” that day?
  8. Do you find yourself completely forgetting to eat for nourishment, energy, mood balance and aging gracefully and solely focus on your weight?

If you answered yes to any of these questions than you are probably suffering from the diet mentality (as coined by the book Diets Don’t Work and author Bob Schwartz, Ph.D.). 

It’s time to break this cycle! Yes, you deserve to life your life free from this. Healing your relationship with food and yourself are 2 of the main keys to weight-loss without deprivation (nutrition is the 3rd!).

What Does “Freedom” Mean To You?

Today, I’m sharing with you my very personal transformation story…

Let’s be clear before we dive in- health is your greatest wealth. Without it, everything in life is harder and you will never reach your full potential. It sets the foundation for everything in your life. 

Healthy living is the #1 way I ensure I can live my best, happiest, most successful life- feeling amazing every day..and so can you.

If you haven’t worked with me before you probably don’t really know a whole lot about my personal transformation. Well, I’m here now to fill you in. I want you to know that I understand how painful, frustrating, infuriating and truly disheartening it can be to know you are stuck, lost and can see no way out. It can make you want to give up, accept that this is the best it will ever get or maybe even punish yourself- a little bit, every day. Perhaps physically…perhaps mentally…perhaps both.

My mission is to help you create a healthy, happy relationship with food and with yourself!”

First of all, I never listened to my body. I always felt that I needed to go “burn calories straight away” after binging or eating a “bad” food. I always worried about my weight. I always felt too big for my size. Have you experienced this? The self-hate, compulsive thinking, never really feeling truly confident or secure about who you are?

It wasn’t until I was in my early 20′s that I discovered what it means to truly live. In other words, I discovered what has developed into the Optimal Beauty Lifestyle. But what does that mean? How can you relate to it? Can you do it too?

Can you do it too? YES. There is absolutely no reason why I can and you can’t.

These are just a few words I connect to my journey and the Optimal Beauty Lifestyle which has led me to so many amazing things, people and places since.

I really started to live the life I truly desired.

created success in all areas of life, discovered my true passions, felt joy, a sense of being truly beautifulalive and vibrant every day. I knew that if I could do this others could too.

First, I started with my girlfriends. Many of which had suffered if not the same way, very similarly.

Each one of them began to thrive, shine and sparkle.

They felt a new connection with life, themselves and their body.

The thing is…Optimal Beauty is about more than your weight or looking good for a “certain occasion” (although, don’t get me wrong, it does include these fun attributes as well).

It is about feeling undeniably beautiful and alive inside and out, physically and mentally every day for the rest of your life.

The Optimal Beauty Lifestyle is catered to you. Believe it or not, one woman’s version of Optimal Beauty is not the same as the next. Therefore, I work with women to guide them through their journey to discovering their personal Optimal Beauty Lifestyle. You will discover the same amount of joy, love, balance, beauty, clarity, wellness, results and health; however it will look slightly different to mine or your best friend’s. It will be the perfect lifestyle for you and you alone. 

This creates a dynamic where your results will not falter; you won’t fall off the bandwagon and your results will last forever.

My first memory of wanting to be healthy was when I was 8 years old. It was when I first remember becoming aware of fat and what fat was. In elementary school a man, I think he was a doctor, came into our class and handed each kid a small squishy ball. He told us that when we squeeze this ball, we can feel what fat feels like. Ergo if we had parts of our body that felt like that we were indeed “fat”.  In that moment I was no longer a little girl filled with unshakeable confidence, no matter what I looked like. I was a girl who would forever more be worried about her weight and fat percentage. I now had new feelings of fear, of self-consciousness. I carried this with me through my teenage and young adult years. As a teenager, I found fitness and health in competitive dancing and a fast metabolism. As a young adult, I lost my way. I didn’t know how to take care of myself. I started partying more. Lost myself in all-nighters studying. I had no idea what a huge role nutrition played on our health and beauty. I didn’t know which foods to eat…how to exercise correctly. I really wanted to be healthy, fit and secure in myself. I always truly cared and didn’t spend my days sitting around eating junk food all day (OK, not every day).

How could it be this hard? How could she be healthy, beautiful and secure and I just can’t get there? This consumed me. The obvious, yet completely unthinkable solution, was that  I was doing all the wrong things. This, in a time of insecurity, and all my hard work, was devastating.

I had tried so many fad diets, exercising twice a day and really thought I was doing everything “right”.  The truth is, I didn’t understand the human body in all its wonder at all and I thought there must be something out there that could rid me of this constant want for ultimate health and Optimal Beauty. So I turned to diet pills, more deprivation, the constant counting of calories and I hated every minute of it.

Eventually,  I started to wake up…even before my transformation. I thought that there must be an easier way; there has to be a simpler solution.

I was right, but it was not what I had initially expected. In fact, and I kid you not, it was much, much easier. When I finally discovered my Optimal Beauty Lifestyle I could not believe it. I had not deprived myself, spent hours a day in the gym, counted calories, taken any extreme methods whatsoever and got all the results. In fact, the results went much further than just glowing skin and weight loss. But, could it last? Could this be real life? Not only had I fallen into my ideal body weight, but it seemed that I could indulge in treats, exercise in a way I actually enjoyed (not necessarily the gym every day and maybe just a long nature walk), still have fun and my weight didn’t fluctuate, my clarity didn’t fade away and I still felt truly alive and beautiful every day. It was a dream come true.

Since then, I have made this lifestyle not only accessible to myself, family and friends but I have turned it into a career that I am endlessly passionate about. Becoming certified as a holistic nutritional lifestyle coach, meeting the man of my dreams and living in one of the most beautiful places on earth are all direct links to having discovered this lifestyle.

Since educating myself on how nutrition and weight-loss without deprivation really works I have never felt more alive, full of joy and beautiful.

My health improved inside and out physically and my mental state improved just as much. Clarity, mindfulness and a totally new way of seeing the world emerged. You could say, I obtained my dream of Optimal Beauty! It was unbelievable and still is. I am still learning and experimenting every day and I always will be because I am so passionate about my programs, my clients successes, my business and living this way of life.

My hope is to educate and inspire other women (like you!) all over the world so that they may experience what I have. I want every woman to discover her Optimal Beauty Lifestyle. It is the most amazing and the best experience you could go through and do for yourself. Don’t you think you deserve it? Let me answer that for you. You really, really do. Don’t waste one more minute of your life living ordinarily when you could begin living extraordinarily. You will not only be thanking yourself, but your precious body will thank you too.

From a US size 6 to size 0-2! I am so comfortable in my body now and feel like I am the perfect size for me!

First off, I’m a Certified Nutritional Lifestyle Coach and Weight-Loss without Deprivation Expert! Here at Optimal Beauty I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected.

For example…
Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? 

Diets, deprivation, the vicious cycle of bingeing and resentment? No thank you!! I said goodbye to those things years ago and so should you. They won’t get you anything except for an unhealthy, broken relationship with food & yourself and a yo yo’ing weight.
